Lot 197 Attributed to Martha Walter (American 1875-1976) "ON THE SEINE" oil on panel 8 ¾ x 10 ¾in. Martha Walters attended the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia and was the first woman to receive the Cresson Travelling Scholarship (1906), enabling her to travel to Europe. She consequently painted and traveled extensively in Europe.
